Cavin in his blessing outfit!!

 So maybe it took me two weeks but today I finally took Cavin's picture in his blessing outfit!! I used some material from my wedding dress to make this so it was super special to me!  I love this little guy and his big blue eyes!! 

Boise trip

 Marcus wanted to go to Boise for a bike race, and what better place because we got to visit with my brother and his amazing family! It was a great trip and a great little get away for our family.  Apparently Marcus has never been to Boise!  

The Race was a Crit and Marcus has never raced such a large race, I was so proud of him because even though he didn't win first he did well and I think really could have won or been in the top 3 if things went a little better!  He got stuck behind a big crash and wasn't able to get back into full speed of the race after finding himself in the hay bails!  I have to say oh well because I'm much more grateful for his safety then winning a race! 

 Cavin did great for how hot it was and plus he had his best buddy Morgan playing with him and loving him!  Thanks Morgan for taking good care of Cavin for me!

 Cavin is smiling!! he is a very smiley baby and I love it!!  this picture doesn't show his great smile very well but he has a great smile just hard to get it on camera since I have to get him to smile and hold a camera!!

 Morgan had to get all the holding in she could before Cavin leaves and gets big!! 

 The races went on all night and we watched the pro's go and it was amazing!!  they are so fast it was scary to see them go so fast on the wet roads and tight corners.

Mitchell MTC

Mitchell, Marcus' little brother left on his mission and we got to go, it was a fun day!  We weren't sad to say good bye because we know he'll do a great job and this is the best place for him now!!  Crazy to think Cavin will be 2 when he gets back though!!

Marcus is racing again this year, but this year he is doing really well and I can see a big improvement in him!!  I love watching him race and I think Cavin likes it too!! Well at least the being outside part!!

CAVIN'S BLESSING DAY

 WE BLESSED CAVIN ON JULY 1ST, 2012 IT WAS A GREAT DAY AND SO SPECIAL.  I FELT SO BLESSED TO HAVE MOST OF OUR FAMILY THERE.  I KNOW WE FELT BLESSED AND CAVIN FELT LOVED.

5 weeks old and look what I can do!

 I can lift my head

 Wow my head is kind of heavy!

and I can turn my head to the other side!! I'm getting so big!!  

Cavin has spent a lot of time on his belly since his bum has been so sore so he has a really strong neck, well that is what everyone tells me, I thought it was just normal, but I guess he is extra special!

One Month Old CAVIN!

Look who is one month old!!  wow time sure flys!!  I love this guy so much!!  he is just so sweet and I can't hold him and love him enough! 

Marcus has been on the bike a lot racing and we love to go watch him, he is winning a lot more this year and doing really well, I think Cavin brings him good luck!!

One month old and Cavin is starting to wear 0-3 month jammies!  He is so cute in his little VW bug ones, they are my favorite so far!! 

One month old and Cavin is starting to open his eyes more and for longer.  He also is more aware of the world around him!! 

Cavin still love his swing and loves to sleep in the swing.  I love it too because I can get laundry done, jump in the shower, and even cook dinner when he's in the swing! 

Cavin was sure loved on his one month birthday with lots of cousins loving to hold him!! 

He has a lot of babysitters!!  They don't let him cry, because he's always being held and loved!!  What a lucky boy to have so many girls just loving him to pieces!!

Trip to Primary Children’s Hospital

When Cavin was born he had a mark on his bum, I thought it was a birth mark just about the size of a quarter and red, when he was two weeks old it looked like a diaper rash.  I put lots of cream on it, but just kept getting worse.  When he was 3 weeks old we had to go to the dr to get his bellyruden checked so when we where at the dr I had him check it and they thought it was a bad diaper rash so gave us a prescription cream, we used it for a week and nothing got better and actually got worse.  4 weeks old I took him back into the dr because it looked a lot worse.  It  started to look like a bed sore, now the sore was the size of a quarter and really red and infected looking.  The doctor had us put a topical antibiotic on it and again nothing changed.  5 weeks old we started him on a oral antibiotic for 7 days.  Yesterday Cavin finished the antibiotic, he is 5 and half weeks old today and we took him to the doctor because it’s just not getting better at all.  Cavin cries every time I change his diaper, he cries when I put him in his car seat.  The doctor said he had never seen anything like it before and never anything close to it on a baby this young.  He told us to take him to primary children’s hospital to see a specialist because he thinks it’s a bigger deal then just a sore. 

I started to get a little teary eyed because here we are at the doctor and he doesn’t know how to help my little baby.  My poor Cavin has a sore bum and I feel so bad and just want to take it all away! 

Now I know a sore on his bum doesn’t sound like a big deal but this is a deep sore and doesn’t look good at all.  Then to  hear your doctor, the guy you trust, to say you need to take him to the hospital cause it more serious then I can deal with, just broke my heart. 

So I packed up our bags and we’re off to Salt lake to the hospital.  Marcus just dropped everything and come home to go with us, which I’m so super blessed to have him as out support I couldn’t do it without him.

 So we made it to primary children's and they weren't really sure what it was either so they gave us a prescription cream and sent us home, to follow up with a dermatologist.
Well the Cream wasn't working and we got into the dermatologist that next Monday morning.   The dermatologist, was pretty sure he knew what it was so wanted to do this experimental medicine.  I at first was completely freaked out and just wanted to say no way not on my prefect baby.  Then he explained that the risk/side effects where so low, since it was a super low dose and a topical not oral medicine.  So we agreed.  we went home again with hope and prayers that it would work. 
Marcus also gave Cavin a blessing, which made me feel so much peace knowing that something would work! 
One week has passed since we started the drops and I have seen a huge improvement!!!  It's starting to heal.  I feel so much better knowing that we're finally making progress!!

The Dermatologist said he had a cluster of Veins  like his stork bite on his forehead, but since it was on his bum and always being rubbed on his diapers and lots of bacteria from his dirty diaper the skin broke down causing the sore.  so he gave us a heart medicine which helps the blood vessels to contract more, in drop form to put on his bum twice a day.  Well it's working so I couldn't be happier!!!  hopefully this will all be in the pass soon!!

Four weeks old and Cavin's first vacation!

 We went to Bear lake for the week for our Iverson Family reunion it was sure fun!  This is Cavin just waiting to go on his first vacation!  Cute as can be!

 Marcus and I enjoyed the pool and our time together, Marcus has been working so much it was so nice to spend some time together!  I sure love my time with him! 

 Cavin enjoyed the vacation too, sleeping!!! He is a great sleeper! Well during the hot afternoon that is!

 Cavin also got a lot of love from his 11 older cousins! 

 The second day we went to Bear Lake, it was a fun day, it was a little hot for Cavin and windy so after we rode the wave runner and played a little and Marcus played on his new skim board, we went back to the condo and showered and relaxed!!! 

Marcus is so cute and so good at everything he does!! I'm super impressed. 

 More love from the cousins!  Morgan is a great babysitter and loves to hold and love Cavin!!  She does get a little upset that she can't feed him and only mom gets to feed Cavin!

While I unpack the boys just sit back and relax!  We had a great week with family and so much fun showing Cavin off to the family!!
