Life has been busy and full every day! I haven't updated our blog for a long time I wanted to and planned to but, I went back to work the end of July for 5 weeks. It was a good chance for me to make some extra money and couldn't have done it without my mom, my sister Anna, my sister in law Evie, Allie (Evie's roommate), and Marcus. I truly felt that statement, It takes a village to raise a child, totally true this month! I have a new respect to all working moms. It is so hard to work from 730-530 not see your kid all day get home from work make dinner, put Cavin in the bath and to bed at 7, I only got to spend 30 minutes to an hour playing with him. I really missed being a mom but also really missed my time getting things done, I seriously felt like a walking mess by the end of the 5 weeks, just wanting to cry because I had no time to do all that I wanted and needed to do. Marcus was seriously my Prince charming, helping me out and doing everything I asked him to.
Work was good though, I trained a new girl, cleaned and organized the office like crazy, and enjoyed talking to all our patients.
We had a special experience the first of August, Marcus' parents flew us out to West Virginia to visit, talk about a great vacation! We where nervous for Cavin on a long flight but he did so good and seriously was such a trooper! He didn't nap but was happy and sat watched movies and just played!
our trip was full of exploring and fun!
After a week in West Virginia we drove to Columbus ohio and Marcus and his dad rode a 100 miles for the Pelatonia, its a ride to raise money for cancer research. It was a a fun day to watch them ride and even more fun to see Cavin just loving all the bikes and waving to everyone riding by!
The next day we went to the Columbus Zoo which I didn't know at the time but it one of the best zoos in the country! It was huge and had tons of animals it was a fun, long day! that night we got on plane and flew home, Cavin did sleep this time!! He was sooooo tired he just couldn't stay awake one more minute. We got home at 230 am and I had to go to work that next morning, so I was tired and sore from walking around a huge zoo all day!
Marucs' medical school things are going great, he has heard back from 8 schools so far. (Nova Florida, New Jersey, Des Moines, Chicago, Kirksville Mo, Bradenton FL, West Virginia, and San Fransico) Now it's a great feeling because it's not will we get in but where! I have a couple top picks but I won't be going with Marcus to these interviews so I'm putting my trust and faith in him and what and where he feels is best for him and our family!
Cavin is learning and growing so much! he has really changed so much from his first birthday! I have to say he is the cutest little boy and getting so big! His 12 month clothes are starting to be too small. H went from a size 2 to 3 and now 4 shoe in just a couple months! pretty much just passed over size 3! He is getting his molars, 2 have broken through and 2 are real red and ready to pop out! He is signing more and more everyday! He is starting to really learn some words and new sounds, you can tell he is trying to say more everyday! He is still climbing and running everywhere he goes!
Church is getting better and he sitting more and playing with the other kids and not so tired and crazy! We love Cavin more and more everyday! He is so much like his dad it's so funny, he makes the same noises like Marcus and copies everything he does! Good thing his dad is a great example to him!
Baby Stella and I are doing great! Stella is a kicker and moves a lot but she is on a schedule she moves at almost the exact same time everyday!! I hope that means she'll be a good sleeper on a schedule! We'll have to see! I'm 27 weeks and feeling good, I get tired but I think every Pregnant mom does! I feel a lot bigger this pregnancy but that's okay I guess as long as I lose the weight! I've started getting acid reflux this week and I hate that! but it could be worse! I have been excited for a girl and getting ready with lots of cute girl clothes! It's so hard to not get everything! I know now from Cavin you really just don't need that much! I finished her carseat cover and want to make her some bedding still but that's about it!
